1964 P & D Kennedy Half Dollars in Brilliant Uncirculated Condition

At the center of every Mystery Pack is a 1964 P & D Kennedy Half Dollar BU Set. Introduced following the assassination of President John F. Kennedy, the Kennedy Half Dollar debuted in 1964 and quickly became one of the most recognizable modern U.S. coin designs. The obverse features Kennedy's portrait, while the reverse displays the Presidential Seal-inspired heraldic eagle design.

The 1964 issue is especially notable as the only regular-issue Kennedy Half Dollar struck for circulation in 90% silver. Each Mystery Pack pairs a Philadelphia issue with a Denver issue, both in Brilliant Uncirculated condition, creating a two-coin set representing both mints that produced circulation Kennedy Half Dollars that year.

Eight Top Chase Items Spanning U.S. Coinage

The Top Chase Items bring an impressive variety of U.S. numismatic history to this Mystery Pack. Earlier type coins include an 1855 Half Cent VG-F, an 1874-P Liberty Seated Half Dollar with Arrows G-VG and an 1892-P Barber Dime VF-XF. Classic 20th-century silver is represented by a 1921-S Walking Liberty Half Dollar and a 1920 Pilgrim Classic Commemorative Half Dollar.

Silver dollar collectors have two notable possibilities with an 1895-S Morgan Silver Dollar G-VG and a 1921 Peace Dollar BU. The final chase adds gold to the lineup with a 2007 Proof 1/4oz Gold Eagle housed in a 2x2 staple-up holder. No matter which Top Chase Item is found, it comes in addition to the featured Kennedy Half Dollar set.
